DIGICEL URBAN BOUNCE HEATS UP FOR SEMI FINALS

July 16th 2010 - Eight best crews to compete in semis on July 25

The Digicel Unban Bounce dance competition is on a week break - allowing the top eight teams to prepare for the semi finals the following week.

Last Sunday’s heats three and four took Digicel Urban Bounce to the next level and saw four more crews make it into the semis. These included Anxiety, Amity Crew, Crosbies and the Exclusive Breakers who, with their outstanding performances, beat the other six teams to secure places in the semis.

The  ten crews who battled last Sunday at the Port Moresby Country Club (POMCC) were Break Machines, Crazy Bounce, Exclusive Breakers, XB's, A2J,Blazing Infinity, Anxiety, Crosbies, Amity Crew and G-Unitz.

Out of the 20 original dance crews that competed in the four heats, only eight made it through to the semi finals.These included the Underducks, Bounce Unit, Zombies, Creed, Anxiety, Amity Crew, Exclusive Breakers and Crosbies.

The event attracted a massive crowd of anticipating audience who beat the scorching Moresby heat at the POMCC field to watch the best dance crews in Port Moresby battle it out up on the dance stage. Although there were displays of huge talents during last week’s heats three and four, only four out of a total of ten crews progressed to the semi finals.

The two semi-finals are set to be staged on July 25 which will see the competition get a whole lot closer as the top teams compete for the top two spots for the Grand Final.

Digicel also gave away freebies and complementary prizes to free style dancers who were selected from the crowd to show case their hidden dance talents on the stage. Their sales team was also on location selling phones and flex cards.

The event is a fun-filled family event and starts at 1pm.There were also food stalls at the venue. Entry is free so show up with your families in bright red colours to win great Digicel prizes.
