LUCKY YOUNG MAN BAGS K6,000 FROM THE DIGICEL FUGITIVE
Digicel, PNG’s Bigger Better Network’s Fugitive competition ended on a high note today with a lucky young man walking away with K6, 000.
24-year old Richard Avea from the Gulf Province was very lucky today after catching the Digicel Fugitive beside the ATM machines at the SVS Foodland Harbour city at Konedobu.
Asked how he figured out the clue, he said:
“I was smoking at the buai (betelnut) market when I heard the clue over the radio on Nau FM. First I thought that it was the Jacksons Airport, however, since I was near SVS in Konedobu, I thought why not give it a try , so I walked down; not believing that I would catch the Fugitive and win K6,000”.
“Mi stil skin guria stap na mi no inap bilip olsem mi winim displa kain moni olsem (I am still shaking because I cannot believe that I have won this amount of money).I would like to thank Digicel for this wonderful promotion that allows anyone to equally try their luck to win huge sums of money”, he added.
Richard was still shaking at the Digicel headquarters during the cheque presentation. He said he considered himself blessed to have won this money and that he was still too overwhelmed to think clearly about what to do with the money prize.
The winner was congratulated by the Chief Financial Officer at Digicel, Andrew Jensen said:
“We’d like to congratulate Richard on his win and hope that he will use the money wisely to benefit himself and his family”.
