Digicel, PNG’s, bigger better network, today announced the first lucky winner of the “Digicel We’ve got you covered” bumper sticker promotion with Rupa Wapi collecting an impressive K9,000 in prize money for displaying the Digicel sticker on his car.

Rupa from Waigani in Port Moresby was the lucky motorist spotted by Digicel’s ‘Lukim Yu’ crew on Thursday morning and his wife Kila jumped around the office when she heard his registration number being called out on Nau FM.   The couple then made their way to Digicel’s Head Office to claim their K9 000 prize money with plenty of time to spare before the 12 noon deadline. Rupa has been driving around Port Moresby with four “Digicel ‘We’ve got you covered’ stickers on his vehicle since the promotion began two weeks.

Speaking at the Digicel offices Rupa said; “We are delighted. We were planning our daughter’s second birthday party on the 4^th July and its now going to be bigger and better thanks to Digicel.”

The promotion continues with the prize fund returning to K5 000.00 for Friday 17^th June and increasing by K500 everyday if there is not a winner.

In the first “Digicel Lukim yu” campaign, a total of K14 500.00 in cash was given away to five lucky winners with John Tau driving away the with the biggest sum of K6,000, after the promotion rolled over for more than a week.
