Digicel has this year joined hands with Westpac again and other corporate sponsors to continue its support for the annual Westpac Women in Business Awards which recognizes local women who are role models in their communities in order to empower all women within the society.

Digicel entered into the event as a Gold sponsor and will award prizes during the presentation dinner which will be held on Wednesday 19^th October to the ten women finalists who have shown outstanding performance in their various career paths and within their individual communities this year.

The ten finalists each will receive a high speed Digicel dongle with free K100 credits including Digicel merchandise gift packs. The five category winners will each take home a BlackBerry phone plus K100 worth of credits each as a reward for the endless efforts and support they have shown in their communities.

The Westpac Women in Business Awards will be staged for the fifth consecutive year this year, and seeks to highlight women as role models, who have succeeded in their chosen field and they stand as inspiration to other women in PNG to encourage them to participate equally and fully in the development of this country.
