What is DigiINFO? 
DigiINFO is a SMS-based information service. Subscribers can download from their handsets fresh news, sports updates, astrology forecast, jokes and weather forecast. The content is available in English only.

Who can download the content?   
All Digicel prepaid and postpaid subscribers.   

How will the subscriber download the content?   
The subscriber simply needs to SMS a keyword to 4636 (INFO). All keywords sent must match the description on the listing below.  

What is the cost of downloading the content?   
Each SMS/request sent to short code 4636 will be charged at 35t. 

What are the keywords to download information?   
A distinct code/keyword has been assigned to each downloadable content.

Can a Digicel subscriber who is roaming out of the country download the content?  
What will be the charges?   
Yes. The customer who is roaming out of the country can download DigiInfo. Charges per download are 35t plus the regular SMS roaming rates (25t).   

Can another subscriber from a roaming partner network download the content while roaming here in PNG?  
No. This will not be possible.   

Is the keyword case sensitive?   
No. 

I sent the keyword to 4636 and I suddenly lost connection to the Digicel network (low battery, switched off the phone, no signal, etc), will I still get the requested content?   
If the subscriber regains connection to the Digicel within 6 hours from the time he lost the connection, the subscriber will still be able to receive the requested content.  However, beyond 6 hours, the content will no longer be delivered.  The subscriber has to call customer care so the latter can manually push it.   

I sent the keyword to 4636 but I did not get the content?  What should I do?   
If the desired content was not delivered after 3 minutes, then you should call our Customer Care.  Our Agents will manually push the desired content to your handset---free of charge.        

How often are the contents refreshed?   
News, Bible verses, sports updates, weather forecast and astrology forecast are refreshed daily.   For jokes, we are keeping a database of jokes and these are sent randomly to subscribers.   

Is the DigiINFO any better than the competitor’s products?    
Yes, our competitor does not have any service to compare with DigiInfo. This service will be the first of its kind in PNG.
