SMS Banking - Top Up via SMS

Digicel in conjunction with BSP are proud to announce the launch of the Digicel TopUp through SMS Banking service. Our valued customers can now purchase Digicel mobile phone credits directly out of their bank account(s) using SMS.

You can apply for Digicel TopUp by obtaining an application form at your nearest BSP branch or download it from the BSP website. Complete it and submit it in person at your nearest BSP branch for processing.

To have access to the Digicel TopUp service, you must have a BSP account and apply with BSP to have your account and phone details registered for Digicel TopUp via SMS Banking.

The service number or phone number to request Digicel TopUp credits is 16300. Simply text TOPDIGI and the amount you want to Top-Up to 16300. You will receive a confirmation message from BSP SMS Banking and you need to reply with the confirmation code from this message to complete the Top-Up.

For example, to top up K5,

·         Simply text TOP DIGI 5 to 16300. You can even enter toea amounts, e.g. 5.23, 6.09, etc.

·         SMS Banking will reply with a message similar to the following: “BSP 123xxx Top-up digi 5.00, reply with P001234 if OK”.

·         To confirm the TopUp, reply with the confirmation code, i.e. “P001234” back to 16300.

SMS Banking will then reply with confirmation of the TopUp and issue a receipt number for the transaction.
